Constantine II modern forgery (19mm, 3.2g). This is a "Bulgarian School" forgery made by the Lipanoff Studio of Bulgaria. It's a deceptive forgery with convincing surfaces, edges, and patina, though the styling and legends are subtly off, with the style a bit clumsy. It was part of a small group of inexpensive coins that were all false. |
